Scope

Supporting the Silicon Heartland Microelectronics Commons Hub. This involves participating in innovation sessions and helping develop plans for research and development in the semiconductor industry.

We are committed to support the Silicon Heartland Microelectronics Commons Hub in outlining a plan to develop and operate the Hub and will actively participate in innovation sessions including teaming events, project ideation sessions, research colliders, and ecosystem showcases.

The ARI Hub is part of The American Semiconductor Innovation Coalition (ASIC) which represents more than 170 businesses, startups, universities, national labs, and nonprofits dedicated to bringing the best research and development to The National Semiconductor

Technology Center (NSTC) and the National Advanced Packaging Manufacturing Program (NAPMP).

Goals:

Elevate and differentiate ASIC’s proven capability to bring real results for businesses, consumers and the government ensuring U.S. leadership in the semiconductor industry.

Lift up the diverse and unparalleled semiconductor workforce, research and development, and academic infrastructure needed to deliver semiconductor innovation, prototyping and manufacturing in the United States.

Bring ASIC’s message to decision makers at the Department of Commerce, which will decide the role and structure of the NSTC and NAPMP now that the CHIPS and Science Act has passed.
