ATLANT 3D Joins Forces with AMUSENS Project to Revolutionize Gas Sensing Technology
Copenhagen Denmark, June 28, 2024 – ATLANT 3D, a pioneer in atomic-scale advanced manufacturing, is proud to announce its participation in the AMUSENS project, a groundbreaking initiative funded under the Horizon Europe program. The project aims to develop an adaptable multi-pixel gas sensor platform that leverages advanced materials and artificial intelligence for a wide range of applications, from personal air quality monitoring to industrial uses.
The AMUSENS project is a collaborative effort involving leading institutions and companies across Europe, including the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, TECHNIKON, Science for Change, Université de Liège, and more. The project seeks to address the limitations of current gas sensor technologies by combining metal oxide sensing materials with innovative additive manufacturing techniques and AI-driven data analysis. The total project budget is €7,995,710.34, with ATLANT 3D’s contribution amounting to €1,200,375.00.
“ATLANT 3D is thrilled to contribute its advanced atomic layer manufacturing capabilities to the AMUSENS project,” said Maksym Plakhotnyuk, CEO of ATLANT 3D. “Our proprietary Direct Atomic Layer Processing (DALP®) technology will play a crucial role in enhancing the precision and scalability of gas sensors, enabling more accurate and reliable detection of various gases in diverse environments.”
The AMUSENS project focuses on developing gas sensors that offer flexible selectivity and are adaptable to different gas environments. By using original additive manufacturing approaches for local liquid-phase and gas-phase depositions, the project aims to extend the range of available materials and demonstrate their sustainability in wafer-scale processing. Artificial intelligence will be employed to accelerate the selection of materials and to fuse data for specific pattern recognition in gas analysis.
The collaborative nature of the AMUSENS project will foster innovation and pave the way for significant advancements in the gas sensor industry, ultimately improving product quality and environmental monitoring.
