ATLANT 3D and Quantum Italia Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Boost Semiconductor Innovation

Copenhagen Denmark, July, 19 2024ATLANT 3D, a leader in atomic-scale advanced manufacturing technology, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Quantum Italia S.r.l., an incubator and service provider for innovative startups in Italy. This strategic collaboration aims to enhance research and development (R&D) and prototyping capabilities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the semiconductor sector. 

The MoU establishes a framework for both parties to work closely on promoting the use of ATLANT 3D’s proprietary Direct Atomic Layer Processing (DALP®) technology. Quantum Italia is setting up a state-of-the-art lab in Italy to support SMEs with R&D and prototyping, and this partnership will integrate ATLANT 3D’s advanced manufacturing solutions into these efforts.

The MoU outlines several collaborative objectives, including promoting ATLANT 3D’s technology within Quantum Italia’s ecosystem and exploring of the new market opportunities. The collaboration also envisions a potential shift towards a Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) model, allowing startups to access advanced manufacturing capabilities without significant upfront investments. 

This partnership marks a significant step towards advancing microelectronics and nanotechnology innovation, fostering a vibrant ecosystem for technological growth and development in Italy and beyond.
